The PAC have a number of projects in progress as part of its good governance role in the spending of public money.
Ongoing work includes an inquiry into the construction of the Fisheries Building, a report is due in 2020. Other projects on the PAC’s work plan include consideration of the FIG’s use of Databases such as EMIS, Dynamics and Planet, the PAC has held three hearings to learn more about EMIS and the final report and any recommendations is also due in 2020. The PAC’s work plan looks at value for money in terms of economy, efficiency and effectiveness of the spend of tax payers money and members of the public are able to suggest to the PAC items for the work plan for the forthcoming year.
